About us

Susadei សួស្តី Hello out there! It’s Puthy from Cambodia and Anna from Germany currently working on our “little baby” – a volunteer project in rural cambodia which will soon offer free English classes to students in the takeo region.

What we do

Angkor Education Center provides quality education in English
language, computer skills, soft-skills, life skills, and life-experience to
children. We also provide support to the community.
We are coordinators who ensure that the children and
communities of Angkor Education Center and the surrounding areas receive quality
education, social morality, and support from our projects.
We also provide support to children’s families by offering
agricultural training courses and resources to help them generate
higher income to support their families.

The Team

PUTHY

Our new generation is our world. We have to save our world together. We live in different region, culture, and nation but those are no matter. We’ll bring them in one place. Today, many Cambodian children face that I’ve gone through this experience first-hand and overcome the challenges, I am inspired to help my new next generation. I want to influence them to achieve better life.

ANNA

I met Puthy and the children when I was backpacking in Cambodia. Having the privilege to experience the beauty of our and be welcomed by those kind souls, I am committed to give back. With AEC we strive for equity in education, which is key to the empowerment of the Khmer youth.

PAULA

Small acts, when multiplied by millions
of people, can transform the world. Too often we underestimate that power.
Passionate about story telling, marketing, social
media and e-commerce, I am more than happy to help this wonderful project to grow.

JULIA

When passion and purpose come together,
something great results. As a web developer, I
ensure that the team’s important work is
communicated to the outside world and set the
course for a future-oriented network.

JURGA

I believe in “give before you get”. From a
designers perspective, I am sure “first
impression matters”, that’s why it was clear for
me that the visual performance needs to be as
good as the intentions and visions of AEG. I am
happy to be on board!

Our values

Be part of the journey.

Did you always wanted to experience authentic life in Cambodia? We invite you to stay with Puthy in his home – the Takeo region – join and teach some English in a typical, Cambodian high school (“don’t worry! You don’t need to be an actual teacher – if you understand this text, you’re more than qualified.”)  and enjoy the nature of beautiful Cambodia!

Volunteers, both foreign and Cambodian, are vital to the
improvement of Angkor Education Center, and we value them highly. Our goal with volunteers is to create a mutual sharing environment where skills can be exchanged, and everyone can learn. Working with a volunteer to support and train our staff allows us to continue to use the skills learned after the volunteer has left Foreign volunteers also benefit our program by creating opportunities for our staff and students to
share cultures and ideas with native English speakers. After serving, many volunteers continue to contribute to their home countries by raising awareness and fundraising.
